The R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host the 4th ODI match between Australia and Sri Lanka on June 20th.
In the ongoing white-ball series, Australia has been underwhelming, led by Aaron Finch. They were defeated by 26 runs in the second ODI on Thursday, June 16, following Glenn Maxwell’s undefeated 80-run effort in the first.
The visitors bowled well, restricting the Sri Lankans to 220/9 before the rain hit, thanks to Pat Cummins’ four-wicket haul. Several of their batters got at-bats in the run-scoring situation, but they were unable to convert.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be relieved that the series has been tied. In the first game, they held a 1-0 lead, but Maxwell’s heroics kept them from winning. In the second ODI, they made apologies by dismissing Australia for 189 and setting a revised target of 216.
