The SCHEDULE for the Cricket T20 World Cup 2022 to be held in Australia in October-November has been released by the ICC. The 2022 T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in Australia. According to the schedule, the T20 World Cup 2022 will start from October 16 while the Super-12 round will start from October 22 with Australia vs New Zealand. A total of 16 teams are participating in the T20 World Cup in 2022.
In the first round, 8 teams will compete, two top teams of two groups will enter the Super 12. Sri Lanka, Namibia, Scotland and The West Indies will face the team in the first round to reach the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup 2022. At the same time, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa have secured their places in the second round.
India has been included in Group-2. Apart from India, the group includes two qualifiers from Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and Group B. India’s first super-12 match is scheduled to be played against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23. All the matches of India have to be played on grounds like Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. The semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 will be played in Sydney and Adelaide on November 9 and 10. On November 13, the final will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
